The red grape variety originates from Austria. Synonyms are Bistershna Zhernina, Bistriska Crnina, Blauer Mohrenkönigin, Catonia Maculata and Schwarzer Gornesch. The parentage (parentage) is unknown. Nothing is known about possible relations to the varieties Bondola (synonym Mohrenkönig) or Cep Rouge (synonym Mohrenkönigin). No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
