The winery in the municipality of Gau-Odernheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen has since been closed. It was founded in 2001 by Dirk Würtz. He had studied business administration, political science and philology and was motivated to work in viticulture by an ancient Bordeaux. As a career changer, he was a trainee at the Weil Robert winery from 1996 to 2001, where he was jointly responsible for the Rheingau estate's Rieslings. He then leased the old Königsmühle in Gau-Odernheim. The vineyards comprised six hectares of vines with Riesling and Pinot Noir.
The wein.plus encyclopaedia is a comprehensive, well-researched reference work. Available anytime and anywhere, it has become an indispensable part of teaching, used by students and myself alike. Highly recommended!
