Imesch

The wine trading and production company "Imesch Vins Sierre SA" in Sierre in the Swiss canton of Valais was founded in 1898 by Léopold Imesch. Since 2003, 50% of the shares are held by the Imesch family and the other 50% by the Rouvinez family. The president is the granddaughter of the founder Marie-Hélène Imesch. The vineyards comprise ten hectares of own land in the appellations Sierre and Côteaux die Sierre, from another 50 hectares grapes are purchased from 120 contract winegrowers. The "Les Communes" wine line (communal wines) includes a Fendant (Chasselas), a Dôle (Pinot Noir, Gamay), a Johannisberg (Silvaner), an Oeil de perdrix (rosé from Pinot Noir) and a Pinot Noir. The "Les nobeles Cépages" line consists of wines made mainly from the autochthonous Petite Arvine, Cornalin d'Aoste (Cornalin), Cornalin du Valais (Rouge du Pays) and Humagane Blanche. Under "Les Terroirs" the own domain wines and under "Les Coups de Coeur" the top wines of the house are vinified.
