Rouvinez

The wine production company Rouvinez Vins in Sierre (Siders) in the Swiss canton of Valais was founded in 1946 by Bernard Rouvinez, the first winery was built in 1947. Today it is managed by his two sons Jean-Bernard and Dominique Rouvinez. They expanded the business by purchasing vineyards and wine companies. The estate includes several large vineyards (domaines) in central Valais, such as Crêta-Plan near Sierre, Géronde (the ancestral property), Lichten and Noble Contrée. In 1998, the large wine production company Caves Orsat in Martigny was taken over. Since 2003, the Rouvinez family owns 50% of the shares of the wine trading company Imesch. Environmentally friendly viticulture with integrated plant protection is practised.
