The winery is located in the municipality of Reisenberg near the spa town of Baden in Lower Austria. It developed from a mixed farm in the mid-1980s, when the vineyard area was only half a hectare. A Buschenschank is attached. In 1995 Toni Hartl Jr. joined the business of his parents Theresia and Toni Hartl Sr. He gained extensive know-how during trips abroad to Burgundy, Bordeaux, California, South Africa and Italy. In the meantime, he is considered the Austrian red wine rising star par excellence. The vineyards were subsequently expanded to 23 hectares of vines, divided between two wine-growing areas. One quarter is located in Reisenberg in the Goldberg vineyard in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Thermenregion, and three quarters in the municipality of Purbach in the Ackerl, Braunsdorfer, Edelgraben, Eisner, Felsenstein and Gutenberg vineyards in the Leithaberg DAC region of Burgenland.
