Fetz'n

In Austria, colloquial term for drunkenness due to excessive alcohol consumption. The dialect term (High German "Fetzen") also means old rag (scrubbing cloth), larger note, old woman, harlot or ugly dress. The latter refers to the Middle High German "Vetze" (everyday dress).
