The winery is located at the Helshoogte Mountain Pass in the South African wine-growing district of Stellenbosch. Attached to it is a restaurant. The name means "in the sky" and derives from the exposed location, which offers a view of Table Mountain and False Bay. In 1982, the estate was acquired by the well-known wine journalist John Platter, but was sold again five years later to Storm Quinan. The estate comprises 44 hectares, 22 of which are planted with vines. Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated. The flagship of the house is a Merlot, which is aged for 18 months in French barriques.
