Brotherhood (single vineyard Germany)

single vineyard in the municipality of Klüsserath (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. The south-southeast to southwest facing vineyards with 25 to 60% slopes cover 185 hectares on medium-textured clay-slate weathered soils. The best parcels are in the upper middle section. Here, the Riesling variety is cultivated above all. Shares in the vineyard are held, for example, by the wineries Clüsserath-Eifel, Fendt Weinfamilie, Gebr. Ludwig, K. J. Thul, Schmitt Heinz and Stoffel Alfons. In 1997, the Vereinigte Weingüter der Klüsserather Bruderschaft e.V. (United Wineries of the Klüsserath Brotherhood) was founded; an association of self-marketing wineries from Klüsserath.
