Name commonly used in the Italian region of Piedmont (also Bric) for the top of a hill. In particular, this refers to a vineyard situated on the top of a hill with a steep slope. Bricco is also often used in wine designations. Other names for qualitatively outstanding areas are Colli, Ronco, Serra, Sori and Vigna. A list of keywords relevant to vines is included under vineyard area.
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
