The winery is located in the municipality of Egringen (Markgräflerland area) in the German Baden wine region. It was founded by Dirk Brenneisen in 2000 after his training as a master winemaker and practical experience in the Lämmlin-Schindler winery. The vineyards comprise seven hectares of vineyards planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gutedel, Muscatel-Gutedel and Chardonnay, as well as Pinot Noir. Vinification takes place in the vaulted cellars of the Rebstock inn in Egringen. The red wines are always matured in large wooden barrels. Some of the white wines and the sparkling wines are also fermented in wooden barrels and stored on the fine yeast. Fining agents are avoided as far as possible. Since, in the opinion of Dirk Brenneisen, his very independent, expressive wines are "misunderstood" in the quality wine examination, this examination is dispensed with.
