The white grape variety originates from Bosnia-Herzegovina. The parentage is unknown. It is cultivated in the Mostar region in the south of the country, where it is mostly blended with the Žilavka variety. The vine is also used as table grape. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
