Arnault Bernard

The French entrepreneur Bernard Jean Étienne Arnault (*1949) ranks fourth in the Forbes list of the world's richest people with estimated assets of 41 billion US dollars. He is chairman of the board of directors of the luxury goods group LVMH, which includes the leather goods brand Louis Vuitton, the champagne house Moët et Chandon and the cognac brand Hennessy. Through his holding company Groupe Arnault, he owns 47.5% of the shares (64% of the voting rights) of the company. He is also co-owner of the famous Château Cheval Blanc (Saint-Émilion) winery. Arnault competes with François Pinault, the head of the other French luxury goods group PPR.
