Producer description of "Weingut Zimmerle"

The winery is located in the municipality of Korb in the German wine-growing region of . The wine-growing tradition of the family, which comes from South Tyrol, dates back to 1647. Since 1979, the wines have been vinified and marketed themselves. Today, the winery is run by Jens Zimmerle. Wine tastings and events are held in the 300-year-old vaulted cellar. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards Berg, Sommerhalde, Steingrüble (Korb), Hörnle (Steinreinach), Steingrüble (Kleinheppach) and Wanne (Großheppach). They are 70% planted with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder, Lemberger, Dornfelder, Schwarzriesling, Trollinger, Muskat-Trollinger, Samtrot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zweigelt, as well as with the white wine varieties Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are cultivated according to the guidelines of ; have been produced since the 2015 vintage.
