Woschek Heinz-Gert

The German wine expert and journalist Heinz-Gert Woschek made a name for himself through regular columns in the magazine "Essen & Trinken" and as the author of numerous wine books. In 1981 he founded the magazine Woschek's Wine Report, which was followed by the magazine All about wine in 1982. As publisher and editor-in-chief he succeeded in making it one of the leading wine magazines in Europe. In 1987 Woschek received the Austrian Steinfeder Prize for his achievements as a wine journalist. Among his most famous works as author and co-author are The Wine - History and Stories over Millennia (1985), The Great Wines of the World (1988), The Wine Book - The Comprehensive Guide to the Great Wines of the World (1991), The Book of Wine - All about the World of Wine and the Wines of the World (1994), Wine and Architecture - A Wine Travel Guide for Architects and Wine Lovers (2011).
