The "Weingut Wöhrle" is located in the town of Lahr (Breisgau area) in the German wine growing region of Baden
. In 1979 Hans and Monika Wöhrle leased the "Weingut der Stadt Lahr" and integrated it into their own winery. The company was named "Weingut Stadt Lahr, Inh. Familie Wöhrle". In 1997 the family acquired the winery and leased the municipal vineyards on a long-term basis. In 2002 Markus Wöhrle joined the winery after intensive years of training at the Müller-Catoir
winery (Palatinate) and with the bio-pioneer W. Brugger (Baden). The main building was renovated in 2003 and extended in 2013. The business is managed by Markus and Tanja Wöhrle; since the 2013 vintage under the name "Weingut Wöhrle".
