The winegrowers' cooperative based in Herxheim am Berg (Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz was founded in 1937. The origins of viticulture in Herxheim can be traced back to a fortified, Franconian nobleman's farm, of whose gates only the northern one remains. It became the "Pfaffenhoftor", the landmark and logo of the cooperative. An extended, modern wine press building was put into operation in 2002. A new vinotheque with a unique view from the highest point of the German Wine Route was opened in spring 2015. Thomas Vogel is the managing director and Bernhard Siegel is the cellar master in charge.

A total of 190 hectares of vineyards are cultivated by the 50 member farms. These are located in the municipalities of Dackenheim, Freinsheim, Herxheim and Kallstadt. The prime vineyards are the single vineyards Honigsack, Kirchenstück and Himmelreich in Herxheim. A wide range of varieties is cultivated. These are the white wine varieties Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Silvaner, Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Rivaner, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Dornfelder, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Laurent, Frühburgunder and Acolon.
