Wine condom

winecondome (GB)
Device for closing opened wine bottles, developed by the US-American Mitchell Strahan from Texas It is a food-safe rubber cover that looks strikingly like a condom. The handling is very simple. The enrober is put on and unrolled. According to the inventor's own statements, however, it belongs more to the category of joke articles than that of serious wine accessories. Because this does not solve the problem that the air(oxygen) contained in the bottle can lead to oxidative changes or spoilage of the wine. A much more effective (but also more expensive) closure system is Coravin.
