This traditional winery is located in the municipality of Kitzeck im Sausal in the Austrian wine-growing region of southern Styria. The origins of the family business date back to 1848, when Carl Aberth, a merchant from Graz, acquired the winery in Kitzeck. The vernacular made Aberth into "Albert" and thus established the house name. The childless Aberth left the property to his nephew Gustaf Zettel, the great-grandfather of the present owner. Zettl, who ran a schnapps, liqueur and vinegar factory in Ödenburg (Sopron). He developed the estate in Kitzeck as a summer resort. The business was taken over in 1950 by Wilfried v. Cramer, who laid the foundation for today's winery. He handed over to his son Christian in 1984 and to his son Leopold Cramer in 2011. A wine tavern is attached. Guest rooms are also available for rent.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
