The winegrowers' cooperative is located in the municipality of Horitschon in the Austrian winegrowing region of Mittelburgenland. It was founded in 1962 under the then name "Winzergenossenschaft Horitschon" (Horitschon Winegrowers' Cooperative), then operated under the name "Vereinte Winzer Blaufränkischland" (United Winegrowers of Blaufränkischland) and was finally renamed "Eichenwald Weine".
