Producer description of "Weingut Tscheppe am Pössnitzberg"

The winery is located in the municipality of Leutschach-Pössnitz in the Styrian wine-growing region of Southern Styria. The basis for the quality winery was laid by Roland Tscheppe and was last managed by the brothers Eduard and Stefan Tscheppe. In 2002 the brothers Erich and Walter Polz bought the estate and the vineyards, but the management remained with the Tscheppe brothers. In the next three years, major investments were made in the area of winemaking and in the presentation and sales area. At that time the winery or rather the wine line was called "VIN'O Tscheppe". After the retirement of the managing director Eduard Tscheppe at the end of 2005, Erich and Walter Polz also took over the operative management. The "Weinhotel Gut Pössnitzberg" with 40 rooms as well as the associated inn "Kreuzwirt" is attached.
