The winemaker

The Austrian trade magazine about viticulture, cellar technology, marketing, business and wine management was founded in 1945 under the name "Weinhauer-Zeitung". It is the official journal of the Austrian Winegrowers' Association. The monthly publication has a circulation of more than 13,000 copies and is mainly distributed in Austria, but also in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and occasionally worldwide. The topics are seasonally coordinated to give wine producers the opportunity to implement new techniques and current knowledge in time. It is considered the largest German-language trade magazine on viticulture. All subscribers also have unrestricted access to the specialist web portal and can order the digital newsletter if they wish. Among other things, the magazine's website allows a targeted archive search. Editor-in-chief since 1995 is Josef Glatt, the editorial and magazine management is in the hands of Walter Kaltzin.
