Glatt Josef

The Austrian viticulture expert DI Josef Glatt graduated from the new-language grammar school in Strebersdorf. After his Matura in 1979 he studied food and biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (graduation in 1987). Part-time (2006-2007) he completed the Master of Business Administration, specializing in Wine at the Bordeaux Business School. Since 1988 he has been working in the viticulture department of Lower Austria. Landes-Landwirtschaftskammer, in 1994 he became Director of the Austrian Wine Growers' Association and in 2000 Head of the Department of Wine Economy at the Austrian Chamber of Agriculture. Since 1995 he has been editor-in-chief of the trade journal Der Winzer and since 2001 managing director of the national wine committee.
