Sweet spot

English term (meaning optimum effect, also sweet point) for the optimum alcohol content of a wine at which there is the greatest harmony between aroma, fruitiness and flavour. This is utilised by producers in winemaking by reducing the alcohol content accordingly. See also under wine approach.
