The "Lesehof Stagård" is located in the municipality of Krems-Stein in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Kremstal. The traditional farm was first mentioned as "Lesehof der Tegernseer" in 1424. At that time, the Benedictines practised viticulture here. In 1615, the Karl brothers from Raublingen (Germany) received the current family coat of arms from Archduke Maximilian (1558-1618). The current owner family took over the farm in 1786. After Kenneth Stagård married into the family in 1981, the Swedish line of the house began. Since 2008, the farm has been run by the 7th generation, Dominique Aurelia & Urban Stagård. A wine tavern is attached in the old press cellar of the house.
