Producer description of "Weingut SieneR - Dr. Wettstein"

The "Weingut SieneR - Dr. Wettstein" is located in the municipality of Siebeldingen (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of The traditional Siener family has been growing grapes here since 1781. According to his own story, Dr. Martin Wettstein, a trained agricultural engineer with a few years of work at the University of Giessen, wanted to leave in 1994 with his wife Martina and grow olives and wine in . On the trip he visited his two uncles Fritz and Hermann Siener and got stuck in. In the first years of working together, a new concept was developed with the help of the seniors' wealth of experience. The business was restructured in 2001 and a new winery was built in Siebeldingen in the middle of the vineyards.
