Producer description of "Weingut Schwertführer "47er""

The winery is located in the municipality of Sooß in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region . The additional designation "47er" refers to the house number (Hauptstraße 47). It is managed by Martin Schwertführer. A is attached. The family's philosophy is "wine is our life". The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines. They are 70% planted with the red varieties Blauer Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blauburgunder, St. Laurent, Merlot, Blauer Portugieser and Blauburger, and 30% with the white varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Weißburgunder, Gewürztraminer, Muskat-Ottonel, Rivaner, Neuburger, Rotgipfler and Jubiläumsrebe. Premium wines are the cuvée "Gladiator" (Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot) aged in barrique, the red wines Zweigelt Alte Reben, St. Laurent Reserve and Merlot Barrique, as well as the white wines Chardonnay, Weißburgunder and Rotgipfler. The winery is a member of the "Weinforum Thermenregion".
