The winery is located in the municipality of Dorsheim in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. It is owned by Hartmut Hahn and Elke Schömehl-Hahn. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Burgberg, Goldloch and Pittermännchen (Dorsheim), as well as Fuchsen, Hörnchen, Karthäuser and Vogelsang (Laubenheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (over 40%), Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Frühburgunder, Dornfelder and St. Laurent. In years with suitable weather conditions, ice wines are also pressed. Fine spirits (yeast, wine) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
