Rosengründchen

single vineyard in the municipality of Meißen in the German wine-growing region of Saxony. It was created by combining the formerly independent vineyards Crasso, Fürstenberg, Gebhardtberg, Mariaberg, Ratsweinberg, Reicheltberg, Rosengründchen and Steinberg. The south to southwest-facing vineyards with slopes ranging from 5 to 30% cover 10 hectares of vineyards. The medium-textured loess weathered soils are partly mixed with sand. Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Traminer, Ruländer and Riesling are grown here. Members of the Sächsische Winzergenossenschaft Meißen and the Lehmann Joachim winery, for example, have shares in the site.
