Millegusti

A term commonly used in the Swiss canton of Ticino to describe a wine that is traditionally served during the public carnival dinner "Risottata". Originally, this was a poor man's food with which they could prepare for the 40-day Lent. The food and drinks were collected from the wealthy by a train with a cart. The donated wines (red and white) were poured into a single barrel - hence the name.
