The winery is located in the municipality of Lösnich (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. The family has been involved in winegrowing for several generations. Today it is owned by Hannelore and Herbert Kiebel. Son Christian is responsible for the cellar. A guest house is attached. The vineyards cover 2.5 hectares in the single vineyard sites Treppchen (Erden), Försterlay (Lösnich), as well as Hubertuslay (Kienheim). They are planted with the varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Noir. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is consistently practised. Great importance is attached to fully ripe grapes, low yields and selective manual harvesting. In years with suitable weather conditions, Beerenauslese and ice wines are also produced. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
