The winery is located in the municipality of Kinheim (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. It is run by Erich and Rita Jakoby, supported by their sons Peter (viticultural technician) and Stefan (IHK certified wine consultant). The vineyards cover 4.5 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Hubertuslay, Römerhang and Rosenberg (Kinheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau and Kerner, as well as with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder and Dornfelder. The wines are marketed under the label "Jakoby pur". The white wines are fermented cool in steel tanks and matured in a manner typical of the variety. The Rieslings are vinified dry, fruity-sweet and noble-sweet. In suitable years, ice wine is also produced. The Pinot Noir is partly matured in steel tanks to preserve the fruitiness and partly in barriques.
