Hildegardistraube

The white grape variety (also Würzburg 48-21-9, Hildegardis) is a new variety between Müller-Thurgau and Siegerrebe. The name was given after the mystic Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179). The cross was made in 1948 by Dr. Hans Breider (1908-2000) at the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture in Würzburg. The Rosabeerige vine is mainly used as table grape.
