Reed or location in the municipality of Kammern in the Lower Austrian wine growing region of Kamptal. It is situated exactly between the vineyards Gaisberg (Kammern) and Heiligenstein (Zöbing). The south-facing, wind-protected vineyard at the foot of Heiligenstein consists of deep loess soil with a nutrient-rich bone bed. This special geology was created during the Stone Age when the mammoth and reindeer hunters used it as a camp site. It is mainly Grüner Veltliner that is cultivated here. The Hirsch Johannes and Schloss Gobelsburg vineyards, for example, have shares in the reed.
