Grape jelly is made from grapes and sugar and is very easy to produce with just a few ingredients. The grapes are first cooked, the juice is strained and then boiled with sugar and lemon juice until the mixture thickens. Grape jelly is rich in antioxidants and can be used in a variety of ways as a spread, as a filling for pastries, as a topping for desserts, as an ingredient in sauces for meat dishes and also in drinks such as teas or cocktails. Many wineries produce grape jelly as a by-product. See also under grape juice.
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
