The winery is located in the municipality of Sooß in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Thermenregion. The Grabner family has been growing grapes for two centuries. Sepp Schierer, a native of Langenlois, married into the family. Since 2003, son Karl Schierer has also been involved in the business after graduating from the viticulture school Klosterneuburg and studying viticulture in Geisenheim (Germany, Rheingau). The vineyards cover 20 hectares, two thirds of which are planted with the red varieties Blauer Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Blauer Portugieser, St. Laurent, Blauer Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and one third with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Neuburger. The vineyards are cultivated consistently according to natural and ecological guidelines.
