The "ebner" vineyard (historical farm name) is located above the small wine village of Atzwang (municipality of Ritten) in the southernmost Eisack Valley in the Italian wine-growing region of South Tyrol ( Trentino-South Ty rol region). A Buschenschank is attached. The farm is run by Brigitte and Florian Unterthiner, the third generation of the family. The vineyards cover 4.5 hectares of vines on sandy-loamy, calcareous and porphyry soils at 450 to 550 metres above sea level. They are planted with the white wine varieties Weißburgunder, Grüner Veltliner, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Blauburgunder, Vernatsch (Schiava) and Blauer Zweigelt.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
