Cuero

Name for a Spanish wineskin made from an animal bellows that has been used for centuries. After tanning, the skin is turned inside out and smeared with resin on the inside. The wine takes on a typical flavour called borracha. The handy drinking bags are called bota de vino. See also under wine vessels.
