IGT area (country wines) for white, red and rosé wines in the Italian region of Calabria. It covers six hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Bagnara Calabra, Palmi, Scilla and Seminara in the province of Reggio Calabria. Grape varieties authorised in the region may be used. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question. For the wines, a minimum alcohol content is prescribed differently for each wine type, but no ageing period.
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
