Spanish name for a sparkling wine from the DO area Penedès (name applies only to still wines) or Cava. The artificial word is composed of COR (heart - meaning the origin of the Spanish sparkling wines in the heart of the Cava area, which were "invented" here), PINNA (etymological origin of the word Penedès "pinnae") and NAT (born). In other words, the name means "born in the heart of the Penedès". It is not a DO area, but a so-called European collective mark.

The "Associació de Viticultors i Elaboradors CORPINNAT" (AVEC) comprises the nine Catalan sparkling wine producers Can Feixes Huguet, Celler Mas Candi, Gramona, Júlia Bernet, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca and Torelló. After a lengthy dispute with the Cava Association, they have been using the trademarked name Corpinnat instead of Cava for their products since 2017.
