Caldaro

Italian name for the DOC area Kalterersee; see there.

DOC area (also Kalterer, Italian Caldaro or Lago di Caldaro) for red wines in the Italian dual region of Trentino-Alto Adige. The largest part is in the northern area of Alto Ad ige (Italian: Alto Aldige, province of Bolzano), but some municipalities in the southern area of Trentino (province of Trento) are also included.
