The origins of the wine multinational Montana Wines, now headquartered in Glen Innes in the Auckland (North Island) area of New Zealand, date back to 1934, when Ivan Yukich, a Croatian immigrant from Dalmatia, planted his first vineyard in Waitakere and named it Montana.
