Producer description of "Borgo delle Oche"
The winery is located in the municipality of Valvasone (province of Pordenone) in the DOC area Friuli Grave in the Italian region Friuli Venezia Giulia. Until 1997 it was a pure grape producer, only then did it start producing wine. From the 2004 vintage onwards, production took place under the current name. The company is managed by Luisa Menini (vineyard and sales) and her husband Nicola Pittini as the responsible oenologist. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards, planted with the red wine varieties Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Pinot Nero, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Malvasia Istriana, Friulano, Verduzzo Friulano and Traminer Aromatico (Gewürztraminer). The product range includes various wines marketed under the IGT Venezia Giulia designation.
