The winery is located in the centre of the town of Almendralejo (Badajoz province) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. It was founded in 1931 by Marcelino Díaz Sánchez, considered the pioneer of bottling in Extremadura. The vineyards in the Tierra de Barros sub-area are planted with the red wine varieties Tempranillo, Macabeo, Pardina and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Macabeo and Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are produced with traditional methods in the vineyard and the most modern cellar-technical procedures. Some of them are aged in American oak barrels. Cava is also produced.
