Bidule

French term for a small, thimble-sized plastic cup on the inside of the crown cork that holds the yeast deposit during the bottle fermentation of champagne (sparkling wine). This makes it easier to remove the yeast during disgorging after fermentation. See under Champagne (Liqueur de tirage).
