Berg-Rondell

single vineyard in the municipality of Dettelbach (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The southeast to east-facing vineyards with slopes ranging from 10 to 55% cover 80 hectares of vineyards on shell limestone soils with clayey loam. South-facing sites on the hilltop are considered the best areas. The varieties cultivated here include Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Domina. The Apfelbacher and Juliusspital wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
