The winery is located in the municipality of Mülheim (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle wine region. It is managed by Günter Becker in the seventh family generation. A guest house is attached. The vineyards comprise eight hectares of vineyards in the areas of Schlossberg (Bernkastel), Sonnenlay (Mülheim), Carlsberg in sole possession and Kirchberg (Veldenz), Juffer(Brauneberg), as well as Himmelreich and Schlossberg (Zeltingen). They are 90% planted with Riesling, as well as smaller quantities of Chardonnay, Kerner, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. The philosophy is to keep the viticultural skills and thus the influences as low as possible. Special attention is paid to an optimal state of maturity of the grapes and selective harvesting in several passes. The fermentation is carried out using the cellar's own yeasts. The wines are partly aged traditionally in large wooden barrels, as well as in stainless steel and barrique. In years with suitable weather conditions, noble sweet wines such as Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein are also pressed.
