The winery is located in the municipality of Gols in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in, for example, the Altenberg and Heideboden vineyards in the municipalities of Gols and Winden. They are planted with the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt, as well as the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Sämling 88, Riesling and Neuburger. Natural viticulture is consistently practised with rigorous yield restriction. The white wine grapes are crushed and gently pressed, and the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with pure yeasts. Depending on the style of the wines, ageing takes place either in steel tanks or in large wooden barrels. The red wine grapes are fermented in the mash tank after raisining. After one to four weeks of maceration, the mash is pressed and the wine is matured in barriques or in large wooden barrels, depending on its characteristics. The premium wines include Blaufränkisch Altenberg, Zweigelt Le Contraire, Grüner Veltliner Selektion and Riesling Heideboden.
