Common name in Austria (dialectally "ausg'steckt") for an open wine tavern(Buschenschank), which is indicated and publicised by a "Buschen" (several green branches) placed above the front door. This is important because such establishments are only open for a few days or weeks at a time during the year. This corresponds to the bouquet or wreath attached to a broom, hedge or bouquet restaurant.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
