Hungarian term for a quality grade of Tokaj. Aszú is derived from aszalt (dried or dried) and refers to the botrytised berries used for the production of Tokaj aszú or prescribed in this state. The wine is characterised by a typical amber colour. Aszú corresponds analogously to the predicate levels Ausbruch, Beerenauslese or Trockenbeerenauslese. See Tokajer.
