IGT area (land wines) for red wines and rosé wines in the Italian region of Calabria. It covers four hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Calanna, Campo Calabro, Fiumara and Villa San Giovanni and part of the municipality of Reggio Calabria (Arghillà is a municipality of Reggio Calabria) in the province of Reggio di Calabria. Grape varieties authorised in the region may be used. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question, up to 15% may be other varieties. By wine type, different minimum alcohol contents are prescribed, but no maturation period.
I have great respect for the scope and quality of the wein.plus encyclopaedia. It is a unique place to go for crisp, sound information on terms from the world of wine.
